Since 1972, Rollie’s still today continues its long tradition of being voted Waldo County’s best at serving up great food and drink in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere reminiscent of the old neighborhood “Cheers” style bar.
A few points of intrest... Rollie's was selected as a setting for Stephen King's movie "Thinner." The vintage bar most admire is originally from a 1800's sailing ship lovingly moved onto land and preserved. And just in case you're wondering, those sometimes uncomfortable booth benches are from the original 1950's decor when the location was first established as a local bar and eatery. Randy, the proprietor, veteran and yes, Flatlander, has been warned as to the impact of removing those vintage benches, to which he responds "Some things are just better left as is."
Now for the High-Definition sports' fans out there, Rollie's is proud to provide the largest selection of televised sports games on the Maine coast that includes football, baseball, hockey, NASCAR, golf, UFC and many many more across five 52" plus plasma flatscreens.
Also not to be forgotten, visitors that wish to enjoy fabulous weather with excellent harbor and footbridge views, the deck is a great place to enjoy beverages and food (both smoking and non-smoking areas available). Feel at home and thanks for supporting a continuing tradition!
